(Vlog) A Time of Your Own…
I’m curious – how do you begin your day?
Do you start in a rush after waking from an alarm clock, maybe feeling you don’t seem to have enough time to do even the essentials for you with everything else that is waiting…
Or are you one of the rarer people who start their day feeling relaxed and find time to fit the important things in easily?
In my video for you today I’m exploring an approach used by many successful people, like Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Tim Ferris even the Dalai Lama, for starting their day. People who have the same 24 hours in their days that we do, and yet are so inspiring with all they manage to include in it, and more importantly for me, what they also include for themselves.
For more often our days can feel like we are running through them just putting out fires, and then when we look back at the end, even after all that busy-ness, we may not have found any time for the things most important to us.
How easily do you find it to create time and space for you?
For doing the things you may have been wanting to do for yourself for ages, the ones that are important to you – yet though we add them to our New Year resolutions they may feel as hard to make happen as last year.
So what if there was a way you could start easily including the important things for you even before the new year begins, and continue during it?
I used to find the urgency of other things took over my days. For many years I have always start my days with meditation, yet there were some other things I also wanted to include for me, and just couldn’t seem to make regular time for…
So I went back to basics. Reviewed what I was doing – and began to approach my day, especially my morning, differently…
First I stopped something –
I ignored my computer and phone, so instead of checking emails from people I work with overseas (who are on earlier time zones), I now leave those till later in my morning,
Then I changed my priorities –
And started my day doing the most important things first. Ones from the 3 key areas to really balance us that I’m talking about in this video.
What would the key things be for you?
And how do you think the rest of your day would feel if they were easy for you to do before everything took over your day?
They don’t even need to be big changes, but it’s small regular ones that can transform our lives.
It’s just about giving yourself ‘a time of your own’.
Do share below what are the key things you would love to include in your day…
